East Ranga

The East Ranga has in recent years been one of the best salmon rivers in Iceland with an average five year catch of 4300 salmon per year. In 2020 the river was the undisputed top river in the country with 9070 salmon caught for the 18 rods. Not only can the river offer high catch numbers but a good ratio of the salmon is the sought after multi winter fish.

Holsa - East Bank

Excellent beat with a top notch self – catering lodge for up to 12 people. The beat stretches from the junction of East Ranga- Þvera all the way to the ocean. The beat is 13km in length so there is plenty of space for the six rods. All the salmon that runs to the Ranga rivers passes through Holsa on the way upstream, in the height of the runs enormous amounts of salmon pas through the beat.

Affall

The Affall is a gin clear river, small in size and appearance but still one of the top performing rivers in Iceland. The average catch per year is 760 salmon but in 2020 the river broke all records with a catch of 1728 salmon which was the third best overall result in the country.  

Þvera in Fljotshlid

Þvera in Fljotshlid is a small gin clear river perfect for light gear and delicate touch. Þvera has been quite productive throughout the years with an average catch of 400 salmon for the four rods, the total catch in 2020 was 675 salmon.
