In only 28 days the fishing season will start in Iceland. First to open are the lakes and trout rivers. The early spring is considered prime time for the huge trout in Þingvellir and also for the seatrout in many rivers around the country.
We offer great spring fishing in the East Bank of Holsa for sea trout mostly but you can catch the odd brown trout and arctic char as well.
After the spring, summer is just around the corner and then the salmon will arrive. We just can’t wait, but in the meantime there is some good trout fishing to be done.
