The spring fishing for trout and sea run trout opened in Iceland on April first. In general the fishing has been very good and for example there have been 220 sea trout caught in Laxa in Kjos alone. One angler in river Geirlandsa caught one of the largest sea trout ever cought, measuring well over 20 pounds.
Lake þingvellir has also been in good form with some stunning trout caught like the one Björn is holding on the photo.
