The salmon season has started in Iceland

The salmon season has started in Iceland with good results. First in line to open was the Urriðafoss in river Þjórsá and the opening day gave 14 salmon – all MWS up to 93cm.

The famous river Norðurá opened today on June 4th and with a few good salmon landed before lunch. Tomorrow river Blanda will open and we are excited to hear how the opening will be there.

Picture is of a 87 cm salmon from Norðurá this morning.
